Research on social and educational inequalities of immigrants children
This article deals with the educational trajectories of Roma children living in slum areas in France. It highlights the various factors influencing their educational trajectories such as the Roma family and the community way of life and the instability of their informal type of housing. At the same time, it seeks to understand the impact of institutional factors such as the pedagogical methods employed in schools or the teacher-student-parent types of relationships. In addition, we also look at the consequences of educational trajectories on family relations and the Roma community.
